This Training Course was hosted by our Spanish partner in Algeciras, a city located at the most southern point of the Spanish peninsula. Its unique location allows the settlement of people from 104 different nationalities. This diversity is both a challenge and opportunity for enriching cohabitation. In practice, Algeciras has high rates of segregation in different neighbourhoods. The sea border with Africa and the location of the third most important port in Europe has also watered drug trafficking and (recently) also violent acts committed by and against drug traffic bands located in the region. All these situations directly affect young people at the local level so this Training Course (and all local activities delivered in Spain: data collection, focus group, map of stakeholders, country report) focused in this context.
